General Summary:

OrangeWare offers two development packages to support hardware design efforts for the UWB/Wireless USB technology.  OrangeWare’s Wire Adapter and WHCI development packages are invaluable for UWB chip manufacturers.  With a developer driver in place, hardware design engineers can speed up their development process, improve and optimize their hardware while at the same time make confident and proven design decisions based on this early testing capability.  In the end, OrangeWare’s final shipping drivers will work hand in hand with your hardware and provide a quick to market, proven driver for your end customer.    All development packages INCLUDE twenty (20) hours of engineering consulting services direct from the professional engineering minds of OrangeWare.  Consulting can be used for creating custom test loops or debug statements to speed up the design process.  It can also be used to implement and test any unique extensions to the MBOA specification contemplated by UWB hardware designers.  All companies purchasing our development tools will need to loan OrangeWare two (2) sets of hardware to include a MAC/ARM/USB module and a PHY.  These loaner units will be returned to the customer upon completion of the consulting services. Most importantly, our development packages provide the unlimited use of our binary software drivers for marketing demonstrations.    All demonstration versions released will include OrangeWare ownership notifications and can be co-marketed with the hardware prototypes by both parties.  Demo versions of our software can be used in customer sales calls, developer forums and trade shows.

WHCI Development Driver

Subject to final release of WHCI specification

 

Purpose:   The OrangeWare WHCI Development Driver speeds up the initial programming of USB/MAC/ARM firmware providing test capabilities and a method of exercising UWB PCI hardware.   Using the code base from our current USB EHCI driver, we will provide a driver written to the WHCI specification in a timely manner.  Our current code based being used is OrangeWare’s world renown USB 2.0 driver that has been shipping for the past four years to millions of satisfied customers worldwide.  The included radio functionality will provide early access to the control and management of the radio.  The association application will provide a mechanism for early testing of the ceremony and association processes as well as customization if required.
