I have an 802.11b ONLY wireless card, will it work with OrangeWare's Wireless Driver for Mac?

I have updated my Mac OS X to 10.3.4 and have lost my license. When I go to re-install it says, "you have activated this on another machine" or "your activation limit has been exceeded."

Please email support@orangeware.com and request another activation.  Please provide your order # and the email address used in the original purchase process.  We will issue an activation the following business day.  We are sorry for this inconvenience and are working with eSellerate for an easier solution.

I cannot successfully wake from "deep sleep" mode after installing my wireless PCI card. While the tower itself seems to wake up, I get no video signal.

This is an Apple issue, unfortunately seen in numerous PCI cards. The only way to prevent this is to prevent deep sleep mode altogether.
I wish to uninstall the Wireless Driver for Mac, but I do not have the ability to create a 'ROOT' user.  Is there another way I can uninstall your driver?

Follow the instructions in the ReadMeFirst3.0.pdf file with the following differences.  You do not have to enable a root user.  Before dragging the OWC80211gUninst file to the terminal window type the following at the terminal prompt: "sudo " (without the quotes, note the space after sudo), then drag the OWC80211gUninst to the terminal window and hit enter.  Terminal will then prompt for a password which will be your user login password.

While I can connect to my router with WEP encryption off, it will not function with WEP turned on.  What can I do?

Since you can connect with encryption off, we will  assume your protocol settings are correct.  On the security settings page click on HEXADECIMAL; select 128-bit (26 characters) or 64-bit (10 characters), the characters you enter for your WEP key MUST be between the following values: A-F, 0-9.  Now select the authentication method, AUTO is recommended.  Be sure to click on apply on this page after entering your security settings.  Now go to the router and match your encryption settings, the easiest way to test is to use all the same character in order to avoid typographic errors.  With both the router and Wireless driver client now with the same settings, go back to the Wireless configuration panel, wireless networks, search for your network, select it and click apply.  In the network statistics window, click apply, and after you see it cycle through a few channels it will lock a channel in and a blue signal bar will appear.

A newer version of our driver was posted on 7-22-2004, v3.1.  Download and install over your existing version, you will not lose your existing license.  This may resolve some connection issues.  In addition, insure your card is enabled in the MAC OS X Networking Panel.

I have a PowerBook G3 and I am experiencing a variety of different problems with my CardBus card.  I am running Mac OS X version 10.2.8 or under.
Mac OS X 10.3 contains a ROM update for older CardBus controllers.  Updating to this version (10.3) or later should solve the majority of these issues.
I have an 802.11b ONLY wireless card, will it work with OrangeWare's Wireless Driver for Mac?
Any wireless card that is 802.11b ONLY will not function with our driver.
Does your Wireless Driver for Mac support USB adapters?
No. We do not have any plans to support USB adapters.
Is your Wireless Driver supported under Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)?
Yes it is!  There is a possibility that you will lose your license, if you do, send your order number to support at orangeware.com and we will issue another activation for re-install.
Can I use CardBus cards in my G3 PowerBook notebook?
The PowerBook G3 Series (M4753) computer has two PC Card slots. Both slots can hold Type I (3.3 mm) and Type II (5 mm) cards, but only the lower slot can hold a Type III (10.5 mm) card. When a Type III PC Card is inserted in the lower slot, the upper slot cannot be used. The use and installation of PC Cards has not changed from previous models of the PowerBook. The PC Card slots on the new PowerBook G3 are CardBus slots. This means that they can accept newer 32-bit PC Cards. The lower PC Card slot has circuitry for handling video signals (zoomed video). Although a zoomed video card is a Type II card, it can only be used in the lower slot.
When I click the register button I get the message "Patched by iMac Daddy" and I cannot continue. How can I fix this?
This us due to a corrupt eSellerate engine. Navigate to your hard drive, Library>>Application Support and throw the MindVision folder in the trash. Then navigate to Library>>Preferences and throw the file "com.esellerate.owc80211g.plist" in the trash. Connect to the internet and go to http://www.esellerate.net/esellerate_update.asp, install the OS X update and try our register button again.
With my wireless card installed when I wake my machine up from sleep, it crashes within a few seconds.
Though this may not work for everyone, a number of people have resolved the issue by turning off "Wake on LAN."
When I re-install your driver, though it appears to succeed, it remains in "Trial" mode.
You must be an Administrator or Adminstrator level user to successfully re-install.
Does your driver support WPA encryption?

Is your Wireless Driver supported under Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)?
