OrangeWare releases new software drivers for Mac OS X FireWire Web Cam support.

Anaheim, CA –Today, OrangeWare released drivers providing support for FireWire web cameras on all Mac OS X operating systems version 10.1 or greater.

Supported web cameras include the Orange Micro iBOT, ADS Pyro WebCam, Vcam IEEE 1394 PC Camera and Aplux 1394 PC Camera. The drivers will support any FireWire Web Cam that uses the Texas Instruments TSB15LV01 chip.

Orange Micro has licensed this driver from OrangeWare for their FireWire iBOT customers. If you own a FireWire iBOT from Orange Micro, Inc., you may download this driver free of charge and it will just simply work!

For all other FireWire Web Cam manufacturers, customers can download an evaluation driver free of charge. This evaulation driver will function in evaluation mode with an option to purchase the driver for $5.00 (Evaluation mode will allow the driver to run for 5 minutes per application).
